- Sweep or dust mop grit before it is dragged across the surface.
- Damp mop with clean water and mild cleaner.
- Wipe spills instead of leaving them to dry.
- Use soft pads under movable furniture where possible.
What to avoid.
Avoid dragging sharp metal, using harsh acids or leaving abrasive sand on the floor. Garages and workshops should clean oil marks early so the surface stays presentable.
When to ask for help.
